 The Boys Season 2 Review - the boy season 3 update This Amazon series is set in a world where there are superheroes; they aren't typical superheroes though; they work for the powerful Vought Corporation and consider ratings and profit to be more important than saving lives. They are also arrogant, disillusioned or generally unpleasant. The worst of these are 'The Seven', the most senior heroes who are heavily marketed by Vought. Working to expose them is a group known as 'The Boys'; led by Billy Butcher who is convinced that leader of the heroes, Homelander, is responsible for the disappearance of his wife. We are introduced to each group via new members; Hughie Campbell joins The Boys after ultrafast hero A-Train ran through his girlfriend; and Annie January an idealistic young heroine known as Starlight who joins The Seven.  Raised By Wolves Review - Hbo Max - Season 2 update!! EDIT: Season finale Shaved off generously only 1 star for the dumbest season finale I've seen in a while. Ragnar is fading away into oblivious irrelevance like he did in Vikings. Sci-fi. Drama. Horror. Family. AI. Fantasy. Religion. and now, add Jurassic Park to the already convoluted theme. This is what happens when Ridley Scott is involved with the 2 first episodes, and then all the writers start getting confused/lazy as the series progresses. Are the same writers that started to mess up Westworld into one convoluted mess trying to disguise itself as an intelligent series are involved in this series? This has to be probably one of the worst season finales to a new series I've seen. It sure is a good way to lose your audience after only 10 episodes, so they better come up with one heck of an impressive first 2 episodes in the second season if they want to save their audience - and the series. Down to a generous 7/10 ------

But the story inside this framing ultimately expanded into an astonishingly broad, subtle, superbly written and cunningly plotted epic. This television adaptation can't quite bring the Seth's full vision to life, and feels much more like I first feared the book would be: an essentially simple story about finding the right partner. We do still see a lot of India; but at times it feels that it's merely providing background colour, while the characters are simplified and presented straight up as the people you gradually come to know over the book's many chapters.
